We can service and repair equipment from most major manufacturers, so if you have an issue don't hesitate to call. We can offer troubleshooting tips and schedule a service call if needed.
Phoropter Service & Maintenance
We recommend that you have your phoropters serviced every 6 to 24 months depending upon the patient volume of your practice and the age of your equipment. When we perform a phoropter service we thoroughly clean all of the lenses as well as the phoropter itself, clean and lubricate all moving parts and check that it is calibrated correctly.
Phoropter lenses become dirty with regular use, as does the inside of the phoropter itself. Phoropters can get quite a lot of buildup (makeup, dirt, dust and tear residue) inside of them. Not only can this harbor bacteria and smear lenses, but it will also affect the performance of your equipment over time.
